Company Benefits and Policies
HEALTH INSURANCE:
( Full Time Employee's Only) After 90 days of employment you will be eligible to receive company Health Insurance covered by United Health Care -The Company will cover 50 % of this cost for the Employee only.
PAID HOLIDAYS:
( Full Time Employee's Only) After 90 days of employment you will be eligible to receive holiday pay of 8 hours for the following Holidays.
In Order to receive this pay you MUST have worked the Scheduled work Day Prior to the Holiday and the Scheduled day after holiday unless Prior Arrangements have been made. New Years , Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day
ABSENCES:
If you are going to be absent from work you MUST contact Shane Scoggins and the office(leave a message) by 6:00 am to let us know so that other arrangements can be made. If you are going to be late you MUST contact Shane Scoggins by 6:00 am. If you need to leave the Job site early you MUST contact Shane Scoggins prior to leaving the job. In the event that an employee DOES NOT show up for work as scheduled and or does not call in or leaves early the Employee will forfeit their next Paid Holiday.
BREAKS AND LUNCHES:
Each employee is required to take a 30 min lunch. And you are entitled to a 15 min. break in the morning and a 15 min break in the afternoon.
PAID VACATIONS:
After Twelve Months of Consecutive Full Time Employment you will receive one week paid vacation.
PURCHASE ORDERS:
You will need to call in to get a P. 0. Number for anything Purchased (i.e. Supply House, Home Depot, Lowes, ETC.) P. O. and Job Number must be written on the receipts. For Gas Card's -When Prompted to enter the odometer reading you will enter the job number for which the fuel will be charged. Receipts MUST be turned in on weekly bases -If they are not turned in the FULL amount will be deducted from your check until a receipt is produced.
CONDUCT:
All Employees' are to conduct themselves in a Professional Manner while on the Job - Company Provided Shirts Must be Wore at all Times. You are responsible for cleaning up the work area and picking up any tools and material at the end of each day.
SAFETY:
Seat Belts MUST be worn in Company Provided Vehicles at all Times. Goggles must be worn at all times when working with a tool that requires them. All employees must have a hard hat and goggles with them at all times when on the job site.
JOB SITE ATTIRE:
Company Shirt as provided ( High Visibility Shirt or Work Vest) Long Pants - NO SHORTS, Work Boots , Safety Glasses as Required , Hard Hat as Required and Work Gloves as Required. MUST HAVE ALL THESE ITEMS WITH YOU AT EVERY JOB SITE IN CASE THEY ARE NEEDED.
COMPNAY VEHICLES:
The person that is assigned to a Company Truck is responsible for checking the fluid levels at every fill up. The person assigned to the truck is responsible for keeping the truck organized at all times with the material and tools provided to complete the job or task provided. This employee must be able to order the material (or have a material order for Dennis Bailey) at least 1 -2 days prior to needing the material on the job site So that it can be delivered .

This Employee Handbook is an important document intended to help you become acquainted with K & D Electric. This handbook will serve as a guide; it is not the final word in all cases. Individual circumstances may call for individual attention.
Because the general business atmosphere of K & D Electric and economic conditions is always changing, the contents of this handbook may be changed at any time at the discretion of K & D Electric. No changes in any benefit, policy or rule will be made without due consideration of the mutual advantages, disadvantages, benefits and responsibilities such changes will have on you as an employee and on K & D Electric.
Please read the following statements and sign below to indicate your receipt and acknowledgement of the K & D Electric Employee Handbook.
• I have received and acknowledge it is my responsibility to read the K & D Electric Employee Handbook. I understand that the policies, rules and benefits described in it are subject to change at the sole discretion of K & D Electric at any time
• I further understand that my employment is terminable at will, either by myself or K & D Electric regardless of the length of my employment or the granting of benefits of any kind.
• I understand that no contract of employment other than “at will” has been expressed or implied, and that no circumstances arising out of my employment will alter my “at will” employment relationship unless expressed in writing, with the understanding specifically set forth and signed by myself and K & D Electric.
• I am aware that during the course of my employment I will become aware of confidential information of K & D Electric and its customers, I understand that his information is critical to the success of K & D Electric and must not be given out or used outside of K & D Electric’s premises. I hereby agree not to disclose, utilize, exploit or cause another to utilize or disclose, exploit this information with any other individual or company even beyond my employment.
• I understand that, should the content be changed in any way, K & D Electric may require an additional signature from me to indicate that I am aware of and understand any new policies.
• I understand that my signature below indicates that I have read and understand the above statements and have received a copy of the K & D Electric Employee Handbook.
